The Idaho Out-of-School Network supports the afterschool and summer programs that give Idaho kids safe places to learn and grow, through training for providers, statewide advocacy, and events like the Power Up Summit and Lights On Afterschool. Their website serves three very different audiences: parents looking for a program, providers looking for training and resources, and advocates making the case to lawmakers. So we built the site around those three paths, from the homepage down.
The site follows ADA and WCAG guidelines so every parent and provider, including screen-reader users, can reach program information. Automation handles the tedious work: providers add and manage their own listings in the searchable program directory, and applications for events like the Behavior Management Institute run without manual processing. We continue to support and maintain the site, from the directory to event registration, so ION's small team can stay focused on Idaho's kids.
