CusterTel is a locally owned cooperative that has connected Central Idaho since 1955, bringing phone, cell coverage, and fiber internet to towns like Challis, Salmon, and North Fork, some of the most remote communities in the state. We started with the brand: a modernized logo that stays recognizable, plus guidelines for voice and tone so the co-op communicates consistently. Then our photography team spent two days in Challis capturing CusterTel's crews, customers, and the country they serve, so the new site would look like Central Idaho instead of a stock library.
The website overhaul improved structure, navigation, and search performance, but the most useful piece is the custom online application for new service. Customers in remote areas can sign up without a drive to the office, and the application feeds CusterTel's back-end processes directly, taking real load off a small staff. Our strategy work kept everything tied to what a rural co-op needs most: clear information and less friction for its members.
