Challis is a town of about 1,000 people in Custer County, surrounded by hot springs, whitewater, mining history, and some of the darkest skies in the West. The Challis Chamber of Commerce needed one website that could work as both a visitor guide and a resource for local businesses. We refreshed the Chamber's logo, typography, and colors, then designed a site that leads with the landscape, with activities, featured destinations from the hot springs to Borah Peak, lodging, and an events calendar.
For members, the site does the administrative work. Businesses can add themselves to the directory, join the Chamber, and register for events online, which matters for a small organization. The site is built to accessibility standards, and we provide ongoing support so it stays reliable through tourist season and beyond. It's also a natural neighbor to our work for CusterTel, the co-op that keeps the area connected.
