Emergency Rental Assistance Portal

A Mission-Critical Web App for Boise City/Ada County Housing Authority, a public entity that administers and facilitates affordable housing programs in the city of Boise and Ada County.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Boise City/Ada County Housing Authorities (BCACHA) were tasked with a crucial challenge: to quickly and efficiently distribute rental relief funds to impacted residents. Made Right Media was selected to develop the Emergency Rental Assistance Portal, designed to manage this vital aid distribution, ensuring ease of use for applicants, BCACHA administrative staff, and landlords.

Mission-Critical Web App

When COVID hit, the Boise City/Ada County Housing Authorities were charged with a mission-critical role: dispersing rental relief funds to those that needed it most.

Relying on our longstanding working relationship, BCACHA turned to Made Right Media to build an online application portal for the program. The portal needed to be simple to use, adapt to changing legislation, adhere to strict privacy laws, prevent fraud, and handle potentially thousands of applications per day. It also needed to be functional in a matter of weeks.

With BCACHA’s amazing staff, and the power of this portal, Boise and Ada County lead the nation in the disbursement of these crucial rental relief funds.

We developed tailored workflows within the portal to streamline the vetting and approval processes. These custom workflows allowed BCACHA staff to efficiently manage and process applications, reducing turnaround times and increasing the accuracy of fund distribution.

The portal featured advanced reporting capabilities, enabling administrators to generate detailed reports for oversight and management. Additionally, the system was equipped with features to securely archive applications for record-keeping and compliance purposes.
